Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is an official "Keystone Healthy Zone" school. Each year, the Keystone Healthy Zone Schools Campaign publicly recognizes Pennsylvania schools for a commitment to creating and maintaining healthy school environments by equipping students with the tools and information they need to make healthy decisions easily. The program is run by Pennsylvania Advocates for Nutrition and Activity.
Additional work of the school’s Wellness Committee includes reviewing the school lunch program and researching grant opportunities that would support more wellness initiatives throughout the school community.
In addition, an annual Health and Wellness Day is conducted as an interactive learning experience for 6th through 8th graders to explore the multi-faceted aspects of health.
